What we have been doing

The Council has started to review the comments made so far and will look to progress measures that are likely to protect the public, maintain social distancing where high levels of footfall are experienced and encourage active travel as we move out of lockdown. The Council may not be able to do everything, but we are responding as fast as we can to take account of concerns raised.

What you are telling us – and please keep posting!

Many of us in East Lothian think the changes made to our daily lives in the past two months offer a view of a changed, better local future. Our Commonplace website has seen over 1,950 visitors since it launched on Friday morning and we want to reach many more. Please share this News item and anything you find of interest on the website on social media or by email using the buttons provided.

Finally, 67% of respondents have said “Yes” to temporary measures to help with social distancing, protect those out-and-about and to reduce traffic speeds and volume.
